Free Bus
Passes If
you qualify and live in
Turners Hill you can obtain a pass from the Parish
Council Office. Please bring a passport size photo, proof of age
(passport, birth certificate,
driving licence) and a recent utility bill.
People born before and including 5th April 1950 are
eligible for a pass from their 60th birthday.
People born after 5th April 1950 and before 6th April 1955
will become eligible between their
60th and 65th birthdays. The precise age of eligibility will depend on
individual date of birth.
People born after 5th April 1955 will not become eligible
until they are 65.
The pass gives you free national travel on any bus after 9.30 am and
before 11.00 pm, Monday to
Friday and at anytime at weekends and bank holidays.
for the
over 60s are available from the office, however the rules regarding age
eligibility have been amended. Please contact us for further
information or see the Parish News. Please bring proof of
date of birth, (passport, birth certificate or driving license), a
utility bill and a passport photo.

Turners
Hill bus services are 82, 84 and 391.
Rail
cards cost
£23.80 (£28.00 if
purchased directly from the train station).If you sign to say you will
not take the free bus pass then you could be eligible for a free
railcard. However, we have to submit your application to MSDC for this
and cannot issue the voucher, so if you wish to obtain a railcard under
this scheme allow at least two weeks for it to arrive. We will continue
to issue vouchers to those paying for them. If you require a railcard
you need to bring proof of your date of birth, a recent utility bill
and the required payment, to the Turners Hill Parish Council office.
Code
of conduct for Parish Council
The
statutory code of conduct for the Parish council has been adopted by
Turners Hill Parish Council. Complaints under this code must be made to
Mid Sussex District Council.
Outside
sport’s facilities
A football pitch and multipurpose court
which can be used for tennis, netball and 5-a-side football court is
managed by the council on behalf of MSDC. Please contact the Clerk to

Allotments
Please
contact the Clerk to register your interest in having an allotment. The
allotments are situated behind the Red Lion in Lion Lane.
