About the Ark

The Ark is our village community centre offering sporting facilities and rooms to hire for meetings or parties. There are excellent parking facilities and good accessibility.

 

Parish Council Office

The Parish Council Office can be found on the ground floor and is open Tuesday -Thursday 9-12. Please click here for further details.

 

Computer Training Room

We also have a fully equipped computer training room facility open on Tuesday - Thursday. Please click here for further details.

We are collecting used Printer cartridges and old mobile phone handsets to raise money for Starlight children’s charity so please bring yours to the Ark. A collection box is sited in the foyer.

 

Surgery and clinic

A GP’s clinic is held every Wednesday morning on a first come first seen basis. You will need to be here by 9am.

Please phone Crawley Down Surgery (713031) the previous evening by 6pm so that Dr Jefferies can bring your patient notes with him.

 

Nature’s Medicine Osteopath clinic is based here throughout the week. Telephone 712266 to book an appointment.

 

Village History Display

A display of village history photographs and memorabilia compiled by Eric Dawes can be seen at the Ark. Copies of his book, “Crossroads Village”,  provides a detailed history of the village.

Library

A book swapping library is also situated

in the foyer.

Simply bring a book and borro w a book,

great for holiday reading!

 

 

 

Sports

In addition, many clubs and societies use the facilities here each week for sports activities from football to judo to pilates. There is a multipurpose outside court for netball/tennis/five a side football, and an indoor badminton court. Please contact the Parish Clerk to book. Click to download 2011/12 hire charges.

 

Room Hire Meetings and Parties

The rooms are regularly used for social and business events including the NADFAS Arts society lectures, business training events as well as birthday parties, wedding receptions and anniversary celebrations.
